Seriously, Sexy Legs? Seriously!? You saw Jin survive that explosion, right? And you’re only NOW learning he’s immortal? No, you had to have it explained to you! Jay-zus!
Programmed incorrectly. Incorrect programming often lead to completely crazy behaviour, because the programmed object doesn’t follow any higher level logic, it simply goes by sideefects and bugs in algorithm.
Most likely, but to him, it’s probably like getting a spanking to us. He was misbehaving, so the terracotta was going to ‘spank’ (kill) him and send him to his ‘room’ (back to mom to be grounded LOL)
Not wanting to discourage discussions of spankings and Bunny, but if his life couldn’t be endangered why would the terracotta be programmed to kill people endangering his life?
Also, there are others it would be more fun to spank. Just saying.
But then that raises the question of why the terracotta would decide to kill the very person it was programmed to protect.
Also, seeing as Bunny is now… *ahem* spoken for, she is ineligible for spanking. Besides, spanking Bunny sounds like a sure fire way to end up missing 2 to 7 body parts.
First, it wasn’t programmed to protect Jin, it was programmed to hurt anyone who tried to endanger Jin’s life. This simply proved to be a poor definition of its task.
Second, Kyoto has been known to tie Bunny up while insisting that she needs to be punished. Bunny’s response has been humiliating but not dismembering. I know of nobody who objects to this situation developing further.
So you figure it was just a mistake in programming, like with HAL? If that’s the case, all we need to do is point out to him that his own actions endangered Jin’s life, and he should immediately self-destruct.
Also, Kyoto is special. She’s too awesome to dismember.
Immediately. Once he sees the flaw in his own reasoning , he’ll have no choice but to comply with his own programming, and follow it to its logical conclusion.
If he kills himself first then he deliberately allows someone who endangered Jin’s life to live. If he kills Jin and then himself he has followed his programming to its logical conclusion. It’s just that he was programmed by a moron.
The real question seems to be what’s going on between the dragon and the sun and moon. Why would the dragon of whichever wind it was send Bunny to be disruptive around the immortal child of the sun and the moon?
It certainly wasn’t the reasons stated. The pearl was never missing.
I think he is resting his eyes because:-
a) He thinks Kyoto is going to loose it again and doesn’t want to see that.
Or
b) He is going to transform somehow.
Bunny learned how to interrogate from batman. You never start with the head bunny!
Terracotta was known to be pretty fragile for earthenware right?
Because the homunculus might still be “alive” otherwise.
A vast number of terracotta warriors survived being buried for centuries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terracotta_Army
As with the comic, however, none of them were reknowned for their genius-level intelligence.
Maybe Bunny’s mom is overprotective too.

Chill out, dude. You’ll break something.
┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
Over-protective, or insane? That golem thing was trying to kill him a moment ago… Mom of the year, apparently. O_o

Doesn’t make it any less dangerous, though. Just ask HAL or GLaDOS.
Actually, given Jin’s name “The Immortal”, I think killing him would only send him home to mom. I doubt Jin is capable of true permanent death.
True, but even if he does respawn, I’m sure dying must still be rather unpleasant.

Immediately? Or immediately after executing Jin?

Rest your eyes?!
But the view!
We will enjoy it for Jin and tell him later what he missed. ;3
Well hello there, Katze. ^_^
Why, hello there Wolfen, nice to see you round here too.
You too Armeisce.^^
Kyoto is too beautiful a view to close your eyes on, silly boy
over protective indeed
Bunny knew from the start, funny how she didn’t let on.
Kyoto is so beautiful I wouldn’t be able to close my eyes
Loving Jins face in the first panel. Apparently those flowers burn before they numb.
show of hands, who saw this coming?
As in, raise your hands if you are not Kyoto?

Bunny learned interrogation techniques from a book Batman wrote. Being Savvy she goes to plan B first, that is beat it out of them.
Looks like Bunny just hit the right spot to block the pain
