“Multi-Agent Cognitive Architecture” could be a backronym for “MECHA” if you add something that starts with H. Like, um… (looking up words that I don’t know remember the meaning of)… Oh! “Heuristic” would be perfect here! “Multi-Agent Cognitive and Heuristic Architecture”
Oh, oops! Guess I wanted it to work so badly my brain pitied me and let me think Agent is spelled with an E. I shall now pretend I meant “Multi-Environment Cognitive and Heuristic Architecture”
This is starting to get interesting…. or should that be MORE interesting. Will the Chrome Cowboy become a new member of the team, all the while waiting for Bunny to do something that makes her a legitimate target?
Gotta love how a Robot makes a Computer joke. A “Daemon” is a simple, parser. Like “spell check.” A full construct AI (like a multi-agent cognitive architecture) is WAY more advanced. It’s along the lines of calling a person a sack of meat.
I literally laughed out loud at the demon vs. daemon vs. AI one. Dear Author: Subtle tech jokes are awesome, and you are awesome for coming up with it.
While the whole daemon vs. M-ACA (robot) speech was humorous, my biggest laugh was panel 3, since that was truly an unexpected outburst and scene on the part of the author. Still laughing
So, the only way for Bunny to not die at the hands of the “Multi-Agent Cognitive Architecture” is to continue acting non-Bunny=like?
Thiss will be good.
I’m beginning to think that a “hare” is actually some sort of criminal sub-type, like cat burglar, and is being hunted by these renta-robocops.
BB may superficially resemble their prey, or she started her present career by making off with (read stealing) a “hare” kit.
This could really get interesting if the “hares” are after her too.
Keep in mind that when we first met her Bunny was working as an assassin for hire and showed absolutely no qualms about killing for money as long as she received said money. Many people consider that less than legal and moral.
I actually forgot about that one until you mentioned it. I’m of the opinion that “heroic sociopath” is the kindest handle you can honestly hang on Bunny, at least as long as there is heroic violence to be done. Otherwise she tends to revert to just “sociopath” and does things like attacking every monk she meets to figure out which one is the awesome one.
May just be doing it for atmosphere. Just like the hat. Could be whoever built him watched alot of westerns or even used it as a baseline for the personality of the AI,
Yeah, Jin. Mind your manners. :p
now lets go russle up some cattle and get back on the trail
Why does the metal de — *ahem* “multi-agent cognitive architecture” need a fire? Do robots get cold?
All about the style.^^
correct me if rong……but isn’t he burning a rock!!!!!
I think the fire is behind the rock. You can see the shadow it casts in the third panel.
Why wouldn’t a robot benefit from avoiding extremes of temperature? You can damage a hard drive by leaving it out in the snow.

Macha..?
Maybe if he was a luchador robot. No I think the “Chrome Cowboy” moniker you guys came up with is the best for our nameless gunslinger.
Oh, oops! Guess I wanted it to work so badly my brain pitied me and let me think Agent is spelled with an E. I shall now pretend I meant “Multi-Environment Cognitive and Heuristic Architecture”
Multi-agent Cognitive Archetecture.
“My name’s MCA, I got a license to kill. I think you know what time it is, it’s time to get ill.”
MCA R.I.P. but I’m fairly certain Bunny knows a few things about Sabotage.
I bet it’s really for their sake since he’s probably going to travel with them for a bit until Bunny becomes more bunny-like.
So he is sorta like Jiminy Cricket, but with Large Caliber Weapons.
Bunny: ooooo Shinies… *reaching for some ‘stray’ gems*
M.A.C.A. : *Pulls back the hammer on the pistol*
Bunny: Or not ^_^
Cue the “New Party Member” tune.
da da de dum
-the construct has joined your party-
Yeah!! …. wait.. son of a

I strongly refute the claim that I am in any way shape or form the least bit subtle.
Refute it all you want, spelling-based jokes are subtle.

Don’t call an immortal a boy. Tis rude!
The overlooked part of cowbot’s speech; “…till the trail home opens up.” So whatever the other “worlds” might be, they aren’t always accesible.
Testing Gravatar function
No, not large caliber, just normal 45mm, it’s just super awesomely packed with nitroglycerin or something instead of gunpowder

‘Course that sorta depends on the target, your morals, and your ethics. But mostly on your target.
She also killed at least one guy because it was funny:

Well, you’ll have to admit it is kind of funny to put a testosterone-poisoned murderous bully in his place.

Yay! New friend! …Sort of!
Yes!!!
He’s joining the group! Sweet.
Awwww, it looks like this is the first time (or one of the very few) where Kyoto seems actually happy and smiling. I like!
And don’t call the immortal a boy either.
It’s just, you would think a robot would have a high-efficiency internal heater.
May just be doing it for atmosphere. Just like the hat. Could be whoever built him watched alot of westerns or even used it as a baseline for the personality of the AI,
This is where things get complicated me thinks.
If Chrome Cowboy has some organic internals (ever seen inside a Dalek?), those might need some heat.
Hmmm… interesting theory.
“Chrome Cowboy?” I like. Good nickname.
“Trial home opens up?”
Portal?
Time Portal?
Portal?
Chrome Cowboy (To Bunny): when testing is complete, you will be baked, and then there will be cake.
the term you’re looking for is “meatbag”.
I see where this is going… (note Gravatar)
Panel 3 almost made me do a spit-take. I was hoping he’d be a frequently recurring character, but this is not what I expected.
Refute it all you want, spelling-based jokes are subtle.
Haha. Love the whole Demon Vs Daemon part. I’m so glad I get it!
